1. What is your organization all about?FBIA is a membership organization dedicated to entrepreneurial support organization excellence. Through peer to peer learning, community of practice knowledge sharing, and statewide advocacy, FBIA acknowledges, celebrates and affirms the importance of inclusive prosperity and puts the entrepreneur at the center of all that we do. If you are interested in getting better together, advancing your thought leadership, developing professionally, and giving back, FBIA is a worthwhile investment of your time and money.Typically, an entrepreneurial support organization (ESO) directly supports entrepreneurs. This may take the form of incubators, accelerators, coworking sites, SBDCs, Vet Business Centers, Women Business Centers, SCORE chapters, proof of concept centers, maker spaces, and university entrepreneurship programs.2. What are the benefits of becoming a member?FBIA members gain access to valuable in-person statewide conferences, research & publications, benchmarking data and insights of key business best practices. By supporting and investing in FBIA, members are committing themselves and their organizations to entrepreneurial excellence, personal and organizational development, and demonstrating their support for a statewide network of best in class entrepreneurial support organization (ESO) programs.3. Membership options exist for non-profit and for profit ESOs, service providers, resource providers (typically funded by federal agencies), sponsors/advocates of entrepreneurs. Individual options are also available.4. How do I become a member?Membership is easy. Just complete your online form here. Once completed, an FBIA officer will schedule your onboarding call to ensure you maximize your membership benefits.5. How do I renew my membership?60 days prior to renewal you will receive a renewal invoice. Invoices are due upon receipt. For convenience, FBIA prefers ACH or credit card to reduce the administrative burden on the volunteer leaders.6. How do I update my contact information?Just send an email with updated information to email@example.com. If your contact information is an organizational change, please know we will inform you of the membership pricing due to maintain your organizational or individual membership.7. What events and activities do you offer for members?FBIA offers two in-person, registration free conferences * (up to 3 members per dues paying location) per year. In 2023, FBIA plans to introduce 1-2 new webinars for members and their clients. FBIA also conducts periodic research and benchmarking activities to support our members.8. How can I get involved in the organization?FBIA needs volunteers for hosting and supporting the logistics of conferences. Additionally, FBIA has a new volunteer position - membership captains to support growing our membership and support base statewide.9. How do I access members-only content and resources?Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and request the most current password. If your dues is current and you are a member in good standing, you will receive a password to unlock the member-only content and resources.10. Do you offer any discounts or special offers for members?A key component of our membership is unlocking extraordinary value for our members. FBIA curates best-in-class benefits to save our members time and money. FBIA also vets these service providers and affinity benefits to make sure members receive benefits at a level they could not obtain on their own with the benefit of the bulk buying benefit of the FBIA membership.11.
